Oliver Gilliam is a 6’8″ positionless guard in the class of 2028 at Salem High School in Salem, Virginia. With a 6’10” wingspan, polished footwork, and elite vision and passing, he plays a European-influenced, complete game — scoring at all three levels, rebounding, defending, and making teammates better. His X-rays (May 2026) show open growth plates, with a projected frame of 6’10″–7’0″.
A complete, positionless game
At 6’8″, Oliver creates mismatches anywhere on the floor. He can bring the ball up, run the offense, post up smaller defenders, and stretch the floor — the kind of 1-through-4 versatility college programs covet. His game was shaped by training under coaches who have played and coached at the highest levels (see Player Development).
Student-athlete first
Oliver carries a 3.5 GPA, widening his options at every academic tier. He leads with character — his bio quotes John Wooden: “What you are as a person is far more important than what you are as a basketball player.” He’s also giving back, hosting free summer basketball training for youth in his community.
